Your contribution will be

  • Planning the execution of all regular and ad hoc audit processes based on existing frameworks 
  • Executing auditing and/or coordinating auding and information exchange, aligning expectations, and consulting on audit execution to ensure timely and accurate collaboration
  • Executing audit and issue remediation plans by monitoring implementation progress and consulting operational teams to ensure actions are realistic, timely, compliant, and strategically aligned with audit recommendations
  • Writing audit report content and coordinating stakeholder reviews to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance for leadership and operational use
  • Ensuring compliance implementation by advising operational teams on the rollout of actions and analysing alignment with broader risk mitigation goals
  • Communicating across compliance, operations, and partner teams to ensure shared understanding of audit requirements, timelines, and accountability frameworks
  • Communicating and presenting of audit report findings to Board and other relevant stakeholders 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Several years of relevant experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, or a related field, ideally in an international or non-profit environment

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and coordinate audit processes, including stakeholder engagement, expectation management, and information flow

  • Strong skills in writing, editing, and reviewing audit reports

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting issue remediation and implementation follow-up

  • Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across compliance, operations, and partner teams

  • Experience presenting audit findings to senior leadership and boards, with confidence in translating technical issues into actionable insights

  • Willingness to travel
