Your contribution will be

  • Overseeing the implementation of sanctuary operational frameworks, focusing on capacity planning, safety protocols, and facility management standards to support consistent and effective sanctuary functioning 
  • Supervising and advising on construction and large-scale maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with infrastructure goals, quality standards, budgets, and timelines  
  • Engaging with other departments and teams to ensure facility management decisions align with sanctuary-wide objectives, promoting integrated planning across construction, logistics, and animal welfare units 
  • Monitoring the proper utilisation of technical, legal and animal welfare expertise throughout project lifecycles 
  • Ensuring the maintenance of accurate inventory records, conducting regular inventory checks, and advising on tools and systems to optimise procurement, stock control, and reporting processes 
  • Checking facility capacity and spotting areas that need upgrades 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Several years of relevant experience in facility or operations management, ideally in animal sanctuaries, nature reserves, or comparable environments

  • Proven track record in overseeing infrastructure projects, including construction and maintenance, with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance

  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and procurement processes, including hands-on experience with digital tools for stock control and reporting

  • Familiarity with applying technical, legal, and animal welfare standards throughout project planning and execution

  • Excellent analytical and planning skills, with the ability to assess facility capacity, identify operational gaps, and recommend sustainable improvements

  • Willingness to travel

  • The yearly gross salary range for this position is EUR 52,000 - EUR 59,000 (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme.
